TITLE Legal Counsel START DATE Immediate DURATION 6 - 12 months, with the possibility of extension UTILIZATION 100% LOCATION(S) Basel, Switzerland (Hybrid) AREA Legal THE ROLE For an international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel. This is a generalist role in which the Legal Counsel will advise on sanctions laws, handle a wide range of employment law matters, and draft and review commercial agreements. It is ideal for a pragmatic, hands-on legal professional with a broad legal background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment. Fluency in English is essential for this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sanctions Law & Regulatory Matters: Advise on international sanctions regimes, particularly in relation to the supply of pharmaceutical products to sanctioned or sensitive countries Assess regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions and provide practical, business-oriented guidance Support internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters Employment & International Labor Law: Handle a broad range of employment law matters across various countries (e.g., Poland, Brazil, and others) Act as a legal sparring partner for HR and management on cross-border employment issues Contracts & General Legal Support: Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs and other commercial agreements Provide general legal advice on operational and commercial topics YOUR PROFILE Qualified lawyer or holder of an equivalent legal qualification 7–10 years of experience as a Legal Counsel with a generalist focus, ideally within a multinational or regulated industry Knowledge of sanctions law, employment law, and contract law is an advantage Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset Comfortable working independently in an international environment Fluent in English; German is a plus HOW TO APPLY Please submit your application via our Careers portal, including a resume.
