Team and Responsibilities
Do you want to shape products that create real impact—where strategy, innovation, and user needs come together?
For you, product development is more than just a job: it is passion, craftsmanship, and responsibility all at once. You love thinking ideas through down to the smallest detail, understanding materials and manufacturing processes, and developing products that deliver genuine added value.
Our product team lives exactly this mindset. We continuously develop, test, and launch innovative and sustainable products that excel in functionality, are market-ready, and meaningfully expand the BLACKROLL universe. Key to our success are a strong supplier network, fast validation of use cases, and our uncompromising attention to detail.
As Head of Product, you are responsible for the global product vision and strategy at BLACKROLL. You lead the entire product portfolio across all categories, develop future-proof product ecosystems, and, together with your team, drive the development and international launch of successful products.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Development and ownership of a holistic product vision and a multi-year product roadmap.
2. Strategic development of the entire product portfolio (Recovery, Sleep, Smart & Digital) aligned with market, customer, and company objectives.
3. End-to-end responsibility for product development—from initial idea and validation through to international launch.
4. Leadership and development of the product team (currently 2–3 team members).
5. Close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Purchasing, Supply Chain, Digital, Brand, Marketing, and Sales.
6. Ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, budgets, and profitability, as well as product safety, regulatory compliance, and required certifications.
7. Management of the full product lifecycle, including pricing, portfolio performance, and continuous optimization based on user, customer, and market data.
8. Building and continuously developing strategic supplier and development partnerships to ensure innovation, quality, and scalability.
9. Systematic integration of responsibility and sustainability aspects into product strategy, development, and the supply chain.
10. Close collaboration with external experts and partners (physiotherapy, sleep, training, athletes) to further develop product design, functionality, and user experience.
11. Close alignment with Brand, Marketing, and Sales to define product positioning and go-to-market strategies for international markets.
