In this role you will be accountable for:
* Plans, organizes, schedules, and supervises engineering projects for Nuclear service.
* Provides supervisory direction to subordinates on work assignments, work planning, timely completion of assignments, and meeting estimates.
* Establishes, tracks, and reports KPIs for the engineering team. Uses data-driven insights to identify trends, drive improvements, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Reviews, approves, and/or certifies engineering work.
* Provides technical input, policy, and procedural direction for the Sulzer Nuclear QA program.
* Provides engineering and estimating assistance to tendering, sales, project management, QA,purchasing, and the General Manager.
* Ensures sound engineering practices and judgment with special consideration for nuclearexpectations and regulations are employed in all facets of projects and customer orders.
* Promotes teamwork between engineering and other departments.
* Serves as the primary technical representative to customers, providing clear, accurate, and timely communication on critical engineering issues, ensuring the company’s technical position, decisions, and recommendations are effectively understood and professionally conveyed.
* Promotes and maintains an image of technical excellence and high integrity.
* Provides subordinates with a working environment that will encourage professional growth, cross training, increased productivity, and job satisfaction.
* May perform duties as back-up for General Manager during absence.
* Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide ESH Management System whichincludes following all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training and experience required.
* 10 years experience in nuclear plant pump design and application and resolution of field problemspreferred.
* Experience with centrifugal pumps or related mechanical equipment required.
* Demonstrated experience providing direction, mentorship, or coordination of work activities required.
* Previous supervisory, management, or equivalent engineering leadership experience preferred.
* Registration as a Professional Engineer and ability to meet qualifications of Certifying Engineers per ASMEB&PVC Section III, Mandatory Appendix XXIII required. Consideration may be given to candidates
* expected to obtain licensure within six months.
* Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, analytical, and supervisory skills
* Ability to work in a service-oriented environment under pressure and against demanding deadlines.
