The essence of the Solutions Architect role is to convert specific requirements into an architecture and design that serve as the blueprint for deploying solutions globally.
The Solution Architect is expected to motivate and guide the Sales, Product Management, Segment Experts, Local Development, Professional Service, and Customer Care teams throughout the solution lifecycle in our Care, Cure, and Enterprise segments.
The Solution Architect also ensures that the solution architecture adheres to standard design tooling.

What are you going to do?
The Solutions Architect primarily assists Product Managers and Segment Experts in designing, scoping, and governing solutions that may include multiple product lines and third-party products.
1. Provide input into future solution functionality, implementation methods, and configuration standards.
2. Analyze requirements and design solutions addressing customer business scenarios within the product scope.
3. Write solution-oriented documentation for internal and external use.
4. Develop technical specifications for custom development and system integration.
5. Present best practices and third-party solution options in functional design documents.
6. Analyze and resolve problems, implementing solutions to minimize future issues.
7. Manage product lifecycle phases from kickoff to exit within the solution area.
8. Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, analyzing complex problems and designing effective solutions.
9. Coordinate with sales, customer implementation, and deployment teams to ensure successful delivery.
10. Assess customer site requirements to propose suitable solutions from the Ascom portfolio.
What do you need?
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in system integration deployments.
* Experience with medical software installation and configuration.
* Strong customer-facing consulting skills.
* Proficiency in English.
Technical Competencies
* Experience with Medical Device connectivity.
* Experience with design tooling.
* Experience with cloud solutions and SaaS.
* Experience with the full Microsoft stack.
* Experience with microservices architectures.
* Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MSSQL required, Postgres a plus).
