Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative Java/Kotlin developer who enjoys working in cross‑functional teams and contributing to modern digital platforms. You take ownership, communicate openly, and are motivated to continuously improve both products and processes in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain backend services using Java or Kotlin.
* Design and implement scalable and secure micro‑services.
* Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers.
* Contribute to architecture decisions and technical improvements.
* Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices.
* Work on CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
* Continuously optimises system performance and reliability.
* Actively participate in agile ceremonies and team discussions.
Qualifications
* Solid experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
* Experience with Spring Boot and modern backend architectures.
* Understanding of microservices architecture.
* Experience with REST APIs and event‑driven systems.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud environments.
* Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
* Experience working in agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a structured way of thinking.
* Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
* Fluency in English and German.
