The Catholic Church in the canton of Vaud is a lively and committed community. More than 50 parishes, 5 departments, 5 linguistic missions, 280 motivated collaborators and nearly 4,000 volunteers with the same mission: to live their faith and share the values of the Gospel.
To strengthen the team of the Gros-de-Vaud Pastoral Unit (UP), we are looking for:
a 100% pastoral officer
Your main missions:
* Ensure the coordination of ordinary catechesis, from logistics to educational animation and sacramental pathways (baptism, confirmation, eucharist) as well as group animation
* Prepare and lead family masses and celebrations in catechesis
* Participate in the various institutions of the UP (pastoral team, catechetical pole, pastoral council) and the cantonal catechesis service (training and cantonal days)
* Work closely with priests, pastoral officers and volunteers working in territorial and categorical pastoral care
* Contribute to communication tasks, supporting the pastoral team and according to its needs
Profile sought:
* Training in pastoral animation
* Recognised professional training in Switzerland
* Good knowledge of the Catholic Church and the pastoral field in Vaud
* Ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate long-term and one-off arrangements
* Ability to design adapted content and lead groups
* Knowledge of IT tools and management skills
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
* Sense of discernment, autonomy, creativity and initiative
Place of work : Echallens, with travel within the UP
