A Purchasing Assistant position has just opened within a company active in the industrial sector. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be supporting our client’s European Purchasing department regarding all related commercial issues coming from their activities. You will be joining a human scale company that is active internationally and is a leader on its market.
Responsibilities You will manage and develop strategic and business critical suppliers
Act at a strategical level to reduce the total cost of acquisition by working on all cost drivers through advanced analysis including cost breakdown analysis & learning curve
Negotiate framework contracts and large scheduling agreement and develops providers partnership efficiently
You will manage relationship with key internal and external stakeholders and business representatives
Act as a team player with the different internal stakeholders and be able to propose alternative solutions, when relevant
You will be knowledgeable about the Purchasing best practices and requests and is able to take the lead in process improvement process
Qualifications You have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
You are fluent in English and French; Dutch is a nice to have
You are familiar with MS office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
You have very strong people/communications skills and a strong attention to detail.
You understand BOM’s and how they work, the work orders and how they are processed.
You have a strong written and verbal communication and excellent problem solving and organization skills.
You demonstrated an ability to work with a team and to be flexible.
