About the Role
We are currently supporting a leading aerospace and technology organisation in Switzerland seeking an experienced Technical Editor to join their documentation and engineering support team. This role focuses on the creation, management, and publication of technical documentation for complex systems, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, edit, and maintain technical user and maintenance documentation.
* Prepare and manage editorial content in accordance with internal and customer standards.
* Publish technical documentation across multiple platforms and systems.
* Administer documentation management tools and editorial software.
* Support documentation-related projects and contribute to continuous process improvements.
* Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to gather, structure, and present complex technical information.
* Ensure documentation remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with applicable standards.
Candidate Requirements
* Completed vocational training in a technical field such as Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
* Previous experience as a Technical Writer, Technical Editor, or Documentation Specialist.
* Familiarity with database-driven content management or editorial systems.
* Knowledge of S1000D or other structured technical documentation standards would be advantageous.
* Strong technical understanding with the ability to communicate complex information to different audiences.
* Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
* Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
* English and/or French language skills would be considered beneficial.
* Willingness to travel occasionally within Switzerland.
