We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex factory optimization and investment initiatives. In this role, you will shape advanced production environments, introduce new technologies, and guide cross-functional teams toward operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead major CAPEX projects (2–10M CHF) from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Drive innovation, automation, and digitalization across production processes—always balancing productivity improvements with operational stability.
* Manage global, cross-functional teams through analysis, development, implementation, and final handover of strategic industrial projects.
* Build and guide high-performing project teams, establish strong governance structures, and coordinate work packages effectively.
* Serve as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency, customer focus, and a service-oriented mindset at every stage.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, suppliers, and technology providers.
* Identify, assess, and recommend emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities and futureproof operations.
* Promote cross-company knowledge sharing, best-practice adoption, and continuous improvement in project management methodologies.
Your Profile
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Automation, Production Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
* 3+ years of project management experience leading complex CAPEX projects within an industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and modern production principles.
* Hands-on experience in the machinery or metal manufacturing industry—ideally including advanced metal-cutting technologies (e.g., milling, grinding).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
* An entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and results-driven approach to problem-solving.
* Strong financial acumen for evaluating data and building solid business cases.
* Analytical mindset with high conceptual strength and a proactive, solution-oriented working style.
* Motivated team player with curiosity and a drive for continuous development.
* Fluent in English and German (spoken and written).
