Embark on your next journey and join our unique Legal & Financial Services practice in Geneva or Zurich to help our clients solve exciting problems daily! This opportunity is for a fixed-term contract of 6 to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
Your key responsibilities
* Engaging project work at the intersection of business, law, and technology
* Handling complex legal and compliance issues for national and international clients in financial services
* Collaborating across disciplines in a dynamic, varied work environment aligned with client needs
* Interacting directly with clients
Skills and attributes for success
* A master's degree in law or related qualification in Financial Crime Compliance; admission to the bar and/or further education such as LL.M. or dissertation is a plus
* At least 10 years of professional experience as an AML Compliance Officer in a Swiss private bank or similar role in financial crime investigations, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, anti-bribery, or corruption
* Experience within regulatory, investigative, or financial intelligence agencies, or as a senior compliance manager in a global firm in financial services
* Proven experience drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and progress reports for senior management
* Strong understanding of financial crime typologies and emerging themes
* Excellent knowledge of current regulatory environments, relevant regulations, and codes
* Genuine interest in financial markets, coupled with passion, determination, and a commitment to providing excellent client service as a trusted partner
* Teamwork skills, entrepreneurial mindset, enjoyment of challenging issues and interdisciplinary projects, high-quality standards, and an interest in new technologies and regulatory changes
* Fluent in English and French; proficiency in Arabic, Greek, or Hebrew is a plus
