The IT department is responsible for implementing the digital strategy of EPFL. These missions include, in a combination of direct responsibilities, the implementation of [strategic plans] at EPFL, business process management, security, central infrastructure management, core business management, as well as collaboration with the faculty services. The IT department is looking for an SAP developer. The applicant must be a specialist in ABAP and FIORI development. Your primary mission will be to assist us in the implementation (in S/4) of our ERP. You will also ensure the maintenance and evolution of SAP to meet business needs. You will participate in projects, collaborating with the various departments of EPFL and other external partners.Main tasks and responsibilitiesYour Role - Ensure developments in ABAP, ABAP OO, RAP, SAPUI5, and JavaScript for all types of programs (Reports, BADI, Classes, CDS, FIORI, etc.) possible within SAP systems. - Ensure the development of Workflows. - Use SAP BTP services. - Ensure the development of interfaces on SAP PO. - Configure management tools and transport of change requests. - Drive or support projects and activities monitored in your area of expertise. - Contribute to all phases of projects, e.g., scoping, design, testing, production rollout, go-live support. - Ensure that technical work is completed and accessible to the development team. - Follow or apply project methodology according to EPFL's project management standards. - Analyze, configure, and manage software components in compliance with existing standards, conventions, and best practices. Other Tasks - Develop and maintain SAP technical documentation. - Ensure good collaboration with other functional and technical areas regarding SAP systems and/or in relation to SAP. - Transfer knowledge to colleagues in the team. - Provide a service compliant with quality standards (e.g., Hermes, ITIL) and audit directives. - Act as a backup for a team member. - Conduct technology watch: follow technological developments in SAP and evaluate their impacts for the SL in place at EPFL. - Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance within the scope of support. - Manage and coordinate the resolution of tickets (incidents, requests, evolutions) assigned to the team, according to established SLAs, through the ITS management tool. - Ensure and manage change requests according to the scope, time, and resources agreed with the business. - Follow up on incidents until resolution and keep the business informed of progress and resolution. - Work closely with Service Managers and BRMs to ensure a good service level.Profile - Degree (HES, University, or equivalent). - Confirmed SAP experience: SAP ABAP, ABAP OO, RAP, CDS, SAPUI5, and FIORI (minimum 3 years of experience). - Knowledge of SAP Process ChARM for S/4 HANA is a plus. - Experience with Cockpit. - Mastery of backend SAP and Fiori frontend. - Strong synthesis ability and good problem-solving skills. - Strong service orientation, seeking dialogue while also having and defending one's convictions. - Rigor, precision, proactivity. - Languages: Excellent knowledge of French (C1) and English (B2), German is a plus. - Women are strongly encouraged to apply.We Offer - A multicultural and high-quality academic work environment. - Opportunities for continuous development. - A position at the heart of the EPFL System X.
