This visible role requires a strategic, proactive, and credible professional with relationship and communication skills. /p pThe ideal candidate is a self‑starter with sourcing experience, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build and manage trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. They will deliver on critical sourcing objectives across a wide range of MDS categories including terminals, data, ratings, indices, and exchanges, and develop relationships with key business stakeholders. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liEstablish and maintain strong relationships with clients /li liUnderstand the client’s business practices and requirements and shape deals to meet those requirements /li liConduct information and commercial tenders and manage the evaluation with the clients’ stakeholders to determine optimal supplier selection /li liNegotiate deals to achieve optimal commercial terms for the client /li liLead assigned MDS initiatives (including demand and savings challenges) which will vary in terms of client, scope and scale /li liBuild and present potential solutions to assigned initiatives /li liReview and negotiate vendor contracts terms and conditions to ensure the most beneficial impact for the client /li liProvide advice on best practices for ongoing contract management and licensing issues /li liLeverage knowledge and experience to manage and provide input to client cost efficiency exercises that will reduce costs and enhance data usage /li liProvide advice on contract usage rights to ensure the client is compliant with existing terms and conditions /li liWork with client on savings targets, displacement opportunities and RFPs where appropriate /li liMaintain MDS industry awareness which will contribute to the Chain IQ MDS value chain /li liAdhere to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liUniversity degree (Bachelor or Master) /li li5+ years of experience in the end‑to‑end MDS process /li li5+ years of experience working with MDS vendors and their services /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills /li liExcellent networking and relationship‑building skills at all levels of an organization and ability to work effectively in a matrix environment /li liStrong negotiating skills /li liAbility to manage multiple conflicting priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results /li liExperience with MDS related sourcing tools, practices, and systems /li liDesirable – understanding of UK contract law /li liProfessional team player, motivated and highly flexible /li /ul h3Preferred Background /h3 ul liMDS Sourcing/Vendor Management specialist /li liMDS Business Analysis /li liMDS Administration Manager /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pWe offer a dynamic and international environment where high performance meets real purpose.
