Operations Analyst | Barclays | Geneva | FTC

Come join us as an Operations Analyst! This role plays a strategic function in ensuring high-quality Business-as-Usual (BAU) service delivery across Private Banking and Wealth Management operations while taking ownership of key operational workflows. The successful candidate will not only maintain day-to-day service continuity during SME redeployment but also lead efforts that connect operational excellence with Strategic Initiatives (SIs).

Acting as a senior point of contact, the candidate will contribute to transformation enablement, change readiness, and risk mitigation—balancing operational continuity with strategic delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own and execute Private Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) operational activities, including process optimization, issue management, and complex case handling to ensure uninterrupted service delivery during SME redeployment.
• Act as the senior escalation point for BAU issues, resolving high-impact operational problems and coordinating cross-functional responses across products and services.
• Represent Operations in Strategic Initiative (SI) forums, ensuring BAU alignment with project objectives and influencing solution design and implementation readiness.
• Enhance operational control standards, lead the identification and mitigation of regulatory risks, and drive continuous compliance improvements across all activities.
• Prepare and deliver high-level reports, dashboards, and executive summaries highlighting BAU performance, risk trends, and improvement opportunities to senior stakeholders.
• Lead or co-lead user acceptance testing (UAT), process documentation, and training delivery for new systems or processes rolled out through change initiatives.

Essential Skills:
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Extensive background in Securities Operations with a deep understanding of PBWM-specific processes.
• Proven experience operating within a regulated banking environment, ideally in Private Banking or Wealth Management, with strong risk and control awareness.

Desired Skills:
• Experience using Avaloq or similar core banking platforms.
• Previous experience in a senior operations role, especially in a transformation-aligned or leadership capacity, with involvement in process design or change delivery.

This role is based in Geneva.

Purpose of the role

To support PBWM with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

* Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.
* Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations.
* Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
* Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
* Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
* Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
* Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services.
* Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.

* Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
