Akkodis is delivering a complex hardware solution for a satellite communication system intended for commercial aviation. The product includes critical electronic and mechanical components installed on aircraft rooftops and operates in a highly regulated environment with stringent quality, traceability, and reliability requirements.
The project is currently executed across multiple delivery centers:
* Toulouse: Hardware & electronics development
* Milan: Mechanical design & analysis
To strengthen project governance, communication, and alignment with customer expectations, Akkodis intends to appoint a full-time Senior Project Manager, based on-site at the customer's premises in the Geneva / Lausanne area.
Project Governance & Leadership
Act as the single point of accountability for project execution toward the customer
Establish and maintain a clear, structured, and robust project governance
Ensure alignment between: delivered scope, customer expectations, agreed acceptance criteria
Drive decision-making, escalation, and arbitration when required
Planning, Monitoring & Reporting
Own the global project plan, milestones, dependencies, and risks
Ensure consistent tracking of: inputs and requirements, deliverables, decisions, action items, risks and mitigations
Provide clear, concise, and regular reporting to stakeholders
Proactively anticipate deviations and propose corrective actions
Coordination of Distributed Teams
Coordinate multi-site teams across countries and disciplines
Ensure synchronization between hardware and mechanical activities
Facilitate effective communication between engineering teams and stakeholders
Customer Interface & Communication
Represent Akkodis on-site at customer facilities
Ensure expectations are clearly understood, formalized, and translated into actionable plans
Reduce ambiguity between delivered content and expected outcomes
Build a relationship based on transparency, professionalism, and trust
Quality & Delivery Oversight
Ensure deliverables are reviewed and released according to agreed quality standards
Support the definition and enforcement of quality gates and acceptance checkpoints
Work closely with technical leads while remaining independent from day-to-day engineering tasks
Profile
Mandatory
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in a technical or industrial environment
* Strong exposure to hardware development projects (electronics, embedded systems, aerospace, or similar domains)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage complex situations and difficult discussions
* Fluency in French and English (Italian a plus)
Strongly Preferred
Willingness to work
on-site at customer premises
* Experience in aerospace, avionics, satellite communication, or regulated environments
* Experience with multi-site and multi-country delivery models
* Understanding of hardware development lifecycles (schematics, DFMEA, DDD, reviews, validation)
* Direct customer-facing experience in demanding project contexts
