Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing efficient and scalable data pipelines that meet business needs. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and machine learning engineers. Leveraging your expertise in tools and technologies such as SQL, Spark, dbt, Databricks, and Snowflake, you will develop and optimize data architectures to support BI and AI use cases.
Requirements

1. Assess and understand client's data landscape and assess data quality
2. Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements
3. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines on well-known data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or Synapse.
4. Build and manage data infrastructure, including data storage, processing, and accesses
5. Implement data models and schema designs to support data analysis and reporting needs
6. Develop and maintain data quality and data governance frameworks
7. Create data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders
8. Stay up to date with state-of-the-art data processing and analysis technologies.
9. Contribute to an exciting environment with a challenging team
10. Eventually participate in technical sales activities.
11. Troubleshoot and debug data-related issues
In addition, this should be part of your background to apply
12. Over 5 years of experience building data pipelines and data assets using platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
13. Proficient in SQL and Spark (Python, Scala or Java)
14. Experience working with different cloud services (Azure, AWS and GCP)
15. Skilled in designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouses.
16. Familiar with software development principles, and data engineering best practices.
17. Native in French and fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.
18. Located in Geneva or open to commute 3 times per week.
The following are a plus
19. Certified Snowflake Data Engineer Associate or Professional.
20. Familiarity with dbt and Terraform (IaC).
21. Experience in consulting is a plus.
