Design Engineer - Accelerator Magnet Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with a passion for innovation to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology for particle accelerator magnets.

In this role, you will participate in the mechanical design of magnet components and magnets using 3D CAD software, and collaborate with stakeholders to prepare drawings for the renovation and reconstruction of the magnet system.

You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory instrumentation and tooling, as well as participating in the follow-up of metrology controls for both in-house and industry procured components and assemblies.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent mechanical design skills, experience with CAD software, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the mechanical computer-aided design (CAD) of magnet components and magnets;
">
2. Maintain laboratory instrumentation and tooling;
">
3. Follow up of metrology controls for both in-house and industry procured components and assemblies;
">
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare drawings for the renovation and reconstruction of the magnet system;
">
">
Required Skills and Qualifications:

5. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
">
6. 2 years of professional experience since graduation;
">
7. Excellent mechanical design skills and experience with CAD software;
">
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills;
">
9. Fluency in English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language.
