For one of our clients based in the C anton of Geneva, we are offering a position as: Coal Purchase Manager For a fixed-term contract with a 100% workload. 5 to 10 years of experience in international commodities trading or procurement, preferably within the coal and/or coke sector, with a solid understanding of global pricing mechanisms, freight dynamics, logistics, quality control, and financing structures. Strong exposure to international risk management and hedging strategies, combined with the ability to analyse global supply and demand trends and identify sourcing opportunities. Good knowledge of international procurement practices, contract negotiation, supplier management, and value-based product assessment, within a structured trading environment. Sound understanding of international trade principles, contractual frameworks, maritime transport, and freight markets, including experience with letters of credit and international payment instruments. Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships across different markets and cultural environments. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability, paired with a proactive and results-driven mindset. Effective communicator, comfortable working in cross-functional and multicultural environments, with willingness to travel internationally. Fluent in English; Russian and/or Ukrainian is considered an asset. Swiss or EU nationality, or a valid Swiss work permit required.
