Skill in fluid dynamics, process technology, fault analysis, test planning and execution is crucial for this role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field and several years of experience as a development engineer, preferably in exhaust gas aftertreatment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Definition of global design guidelines for subsystems of exhaust aftertreatment systems
* Development of innovative measurement and control strategies
* Technical support in development projects and technical advice for internal departments
* Planning, implementation and documentation of multi-day emission measurement campaigns
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a structured, methodical and precise way of working.
Bonus requirements include experience in modeling, simulation and analysis of exhaust aftertreatment systems with GT-SUITE and knowledge of CFD analysis using STAR-CCM+.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
* Several years of experience as a development engineer, ideally in exhaust gas aftertreatment
* Strong knowledge in the areas of fluid dynamics, process technology, fault analysis, test planning and execution
* Experience with exhaust gas aftertreatment systems
* Business fluent in written and spoken English; ideally good knowledge of German
