We are hiring a System Engineer (M / F) for a renowned Swiss organization based in Zurich.
Tasks
* Perform all-round hand-on tasks, including escalated support assistance, interacting with internal clients, ensuring data security, maintaining physical and virtual server infrastructure, and ongoing performance tuning on prod / preprod / validation / integration environments.
* Provide 24 / 7 third-level support on Windows servers, Redhat servers, and VMware infrastructure in a regulated production environment.
Main characteristics / scope
* Support of future VMware Enterprise Edge infrastructure in Dübendorf and Geneva, running on Prod and Preprod environments.
* Support of RedHat and Windows servers.
* Support of storage and backup infrastructure.
Additional Tasks
* Understand existing technical environment, systems, processes, and tools.
* Assist support and interact with internal clients, ensuring data security, maintaining server infrastructure, backup systems, and performance tuning.
* Troubleshoot, manage incidents (recovery, repair), and monitor systems daily.
* Create and update documentation and procedures.
Requirements
Experience with Tools
* Jira, Confluence
Technical Skills and Competences
* Extensive experience in infrastructure management and monitoring.
* Expertise in virtualized infrastructure under VMware.
* Experience with OS Redhat or Windows servers.
* Extensive knowledge of SAN storage (HPE).
* Extensive experience with backup infrastructure under Veeam. Data center experience with virtual and bare-metal hosts.
Remote work: 2 days/week
Our recruitment process
We have a 4-step recruitment process at Enova:
1. A first interview via video conference (TEAMS) to get to know each other, assess soft and hard skills, and introduce Enova.
2. If shortlisted, a second interview (video or face-to-face) with the manager managing client relations to discuss collaboration details.
3. Followed by a technical interview with the client's technical team.
4. If successful, a final meeting to present the contract, ideally at our office.
Throughout the process, communication will be via phone and email, with opportunities to meet our teams or the client's team.
