Job description
As a senior member of a small and diverse Platform Engineering Team, the Senior Citrix & Windows Engineer will take a lead role in managing and optimising the server infrastructure, ensuring robust and reliable operations. You will also drive key initiatives and projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver innovative solutions that align with business goals.
You will contribute to the definition of and delivery of services to support automation and transformation projects across a diverse technology stack, with a focus on Microsoft products :
* Implement and maintain core Windows Server infrastructure services including but not limited to security hardening, automated deployment, patching, lifecycle management.
* Implement and maintain core infrastructure services including but not limited to AD, AAD, SQL Server, Azure ARC, SCOM, SCCM, etc.
* Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation.
* Install, configure, and deploy SQL servers (this is not a DBA role).
* Practice Agile and DevOps practices within Infrastructure and Operations.
While the primary focus will be on our on-premise technologies, this position also offers exposure to and involvement in our evolving Cloud infrastructure, providing a well-rounded and forward-looking career opportunity.
About the customer
This is an initial contract running for 2 years until December 2028 years with strong likelihood to extend on a long-term basis (up to max five years) based on the project road maps, with start date by 1 Jan 2026.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will possess as many of the following skills as possible :
* 5 to 8 years hands on experience in implementing Windows Server infrastructure and Microsoft management platforms for enterprise customers.
* At least 5 years building, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft based solutions
* Experience with as many of the following technologies as possible :
* Citrix published apps, VDI and Netscaler
* Knowledge of Windows security features, operating system hardening (CIS, NIST, Microsoft) and experience with firewalls and zoning concepts.
* Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
* Fluency in a scripting language, ideally PowerShell.
* Directory Services (ADDS and AAD)
* Active Directory sMSA, gMSA, GPO
* Fluency in English
