To complete the team of the Social and Youth Action Service, the municipality of Plan-les-Ouates is looking for a
Head of the Individual Social Action Sector
Position at 80% - grade 15
Your main duties:
* Ensure, supervise and coordinate the services defined in terms of individual social action and socio-professional integration for the entire population;
* Manage a team of 7 people (6 collaborators and 1 apprentice);
* Identify emerging or established social issues;
* Monitor the social and integration fields in order to adapt the services offered;
* Lead projects for young people, adults and seniors – notably:
- social and/or health prevention actions.
- services to the population promoting professional integration and access to training.
* Participate, in collaboration with the service manager, in the urban planning of new districts according to the needs defined in terms of social support and socio-professional integration;
* Collaborate with the local and cantonal socio-health network, FAS’e partners and training on specific joint projects;
* Develop the business network in connection with training and professional integration;
* Ensure the proper implementation of the service reception by social secretaries;
* Supervise the monitoring and granting of social subsidies.
Your profile:
* Hold a HETS diploma in social sciences or an equivalent qualification complemented by management training;
* Have proven experience in individual social support and in the field of socio-professional integration;
* Be experienced in team management and personnel leadership;
* Have thorough knowledge of the social insurance system and related legislation;
* Be able to design and lead projects;
* Have excellent command of common IT tools;
* Be comfortable with numbers and budget monitoring;
* Have excellent knowledge of the Geneva social network and local health systems;
* Be interested in municipal and cantonal social policy and ensure the application of laws and regulations in force at federal, cantonal and municipal levels in the field of activity;
* Demonstrate versatility, autonomy and initiative while knowing how to work in a team;
* Accept flexible working hours: including occasional evenings and weekends;
* Have good adaptability and stress resistance.
