For an internationally active company in the FMCG sector located in the region of Aargau, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant (80%) for a 12-month assignment with potential extension. This role sits at the operational core of the finance function and plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, stable processes, and compliant financial operations during an important system transformation phase.
Description
Manage day-to-day financial accounting activities
Ensure accurate postings within the general ledger and sub-ledgers
Perform account reconciliations and maintain audit-ready documentation
Support accounts payable and receivable processes
Prepare and execute weekly, monthly, and annual closing activities
Contribute to structured and reliable group reporting
Ensure compliance with IFRS and Swiss statutory accounting standards
Support internal and external audits
Assist with tax and VAT-related matters (Swiss and EU context)
Work within SAP FI/CO on a daily basis
Support finance processes during an ongoing SAP transformation project
Contribute to maintaining structured reporting environments
Ensure accurate master data and allocation structures
Profile
5-10 years of experience in a comparable financial accounting role
Strong hands‑on expertise in IFRS and Swiss GAAP
Solid operational accounting background (GL, reconciliations, closing)
Experience in an industrial or FMCG environment is a plus
SAP FI/CO knowledge is mandatory
Hyperion (HFM) knowledge is advantageous
Advanced Excel skills
Fluent in English; German at conversational level required
