Systems engineering & ai integration intern (as of august for 6-12 months in rotkreuz)

Position Overview

This role is part of the Systems Engineering team at Roche Diagnostics International Ltd in Rotkreuz, supporting medical device development.

Responsibilities

• Support the Systems Engineering team with process optimization for medical device development.
• Create and develop use cases of AI for design analysis, system performance, and documentation.
• Maintain product‑specific records such as requirements or risks using the Lifecycle Management tool RETINA from codebeamer.
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary development teams.
• Report status to stakeholders in accordance with project‑specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in biomedical, electrical, mechanical or systems engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, or related fields.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
• Motivation to begin a professional career in the medical diagnostics industry.
• Clear communication skills for diverse target groups.
• Ability to build, manage, and foster relationships and networks.
• Quick grasp and understanding of complex issues, with conceptual and creative thinking.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English; German is a plus.

Position Details

• Start date: August 2026 or upon availability.
• Workload: 100%.
• Duration: 6–12 months.
