The Opportunity
This is a Manager level role. Reporting to the Global Head of Legal Operations, you will develop and implement training and communication strategies for the Legal department. You will create, deliver, and oversee training programs and communication initiatives tailored to the legal team and its business clients. Responsibilities include developing training modules on legal technology, processes, regulatory updates, and best practices, as well as leading strategic messaging and key communications to ensure consistency and clarity.
The Role
As the Training & Communications Lead, you will design and execute a communication strategy that ensures effective internal and external communication within the legal department and with business stakeholders. You will produce regular updates, newsletters, and announcements to keep stakeholders informed and support organizational change.
Responsibilities
Assess training needs by collaborating with legal sub-functions
Maintain and update training materials to ensure relevance
Establish a consistent style standard for internal communications and reports
Collaborate with other departments on training related to legal processes and tools
Gather feedback on training and communication initiatives through surveys and focus groups
Utilize modern training and communication platforms effectively
Create content for blogs, newsletters, and other communication channels
Manage the budget for training and communication activities
Develop and oversee the Legal Training Academy, including e-learning modules and courses
Your Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
PMP or similar certification is preferred
Experience in project management, change management, and instructional design is a plus
At least 3 years managing training and communication initiatives in a corporate legal environment
Knowledge of engagement platforms and developing consensus-driven materials
Experience leading enterprise-wide change communications
International travel up to 10% may be required
