For the Business Unit Space at our headquarters in Sachseln (Lucerne area), we are looking for a Technical Project Manager.
Your area of responsibility
* Technical development, deadlines, and cost-effective development of mechanism actuators including motors, gearboxes, and associated components for space customers.
* You take on the role of system engineer for the combination of various sub-assemblies (both internally and externally sourced).
* You act as a key contact between R&D, quality, production, process engineering, and purchasing departments whilst simultaneously representing the customers internally.
* Thanks to your experience and knowledge of the space industry, you actively coordinate communication between all parties involved in the projects.
* This position will primarily involve working on manned and unmanned spacecraft projects both for science missions and commercial space applications.
This job is exactly right for you if...
* You have gained at least 5 years of experience with projects (preferably in the aerospace industry) after finishing your university degree (preferably in mechanical, electrical, or materials & process engineering, or a physical science).
* Ideally, you have experience with precision products and manufacturing processes, especially those needed for ultra-high reliability applications.
* Knowledge of aerospace-standard manufacturing processes would be an advantage.
* You have an excellent command of spoken and written English and ideally have at least a good working knowledge of German.
* You are a team player with good communication skills, a solution-oriented person who can skillfully plan projects and bring them to a successful conclusion.
* Prior experience with electrical actuators would be an advantage.
* You are willing to occasionally travel worldwide.
