Scientist on Novel Forest Ecosystems at the Insubric Ecosystems Research Group (f/m/d)
The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL) focuses on the sustainable use and protection of the environment and on the handling of natural hazards. WSL is part of the ETH Domain and employs approximately 600 people, of whom 10 are based in Cadenazzo.
The Insubric Ecosystems research group is based in Cadenazzo, Ticino, where it investigates the evolution of forest ecosystems and future trends in ecological processes such as biological invasions and forest fires, as well as the impact of global change on the forests and their ecosystem services. The aim of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of the interactions between climate, environment, organisms, management and natural disturbances on ecosystem processes and the provision of ecosystem services.
