Are you a highly motivated engineer with a passion for innovation? Do you have experience with CAD and a strong background in mechanics or electromechanics?
We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology for the CERN accelerator complex.
In this role, you will participate in the mechanical computer-aided design (CAD) of magnet components and magnets, as well as participate in the in-house manufacturing of normal conducting components, and their subsequent assembly.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the laboratory instrumentation and tooling, and participating in the follow-up of metrology controls for both in-house and industry procured components and assemblies.
To succeed in this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and at least two years of professional experience since graduation.
A valid driving licence is required, as well as exposure to electromagnetic fields under certain exposure conditions. Medical clearance must be obtained before a contract offer is confirmed.
This position involves working in Radiation Areas and intervening in underground installations.
We offer a monthly stipend ranging between 5196 and 5716 Swiss Francs (net of tax), coverage by our comprehensive health scheme, and membership of our Pension Fund.
Additional benefits include installation grant, family, child and infant allowances, payment of travel expenses at the beginning and end of contract, and 30 days of paid leave per year.
Ongoing training and formal education opportunities are available, including on-the-job training and language courses for English and/or French.

* Mechanical design work using 3D CAD software, experience with CATIA is an advantage.
