Overview
SUMMARY
The Associate Director, Order-to-Cash (OTC) will lead the OTC function within International Finance, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely management of customer invoicing, cash application, credit risk, collections, and dispute resolution. The team is responsible for revenue recognition and all revenue related rebates and adjustments. This leader will drive process excellence, optimize working capital, and serve as a business partner to commercial and finance teams across International.
This role is responsible for driving process excellence, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements. The position will play a key role in system implementations, continuous improvement initiatives, and business partnering with internal stakeholders, while managing and developing a team of professionals
Duties And Responsibilities
* Lead, monitor and develop team of 4 professionals in the OTC department.
* Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and customer focus.
* Oversee end-to-end OTC processes, including billing, collections, cash application and credit management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations and internal controls (including SOX).
* Drive process simplification and standardization within OTC to improve efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with the IT team on new projects, ERP enhancements, new 3PL implementation and process automation.
* Oversee the monthly close process for the OTC department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Act as the key point of contact for commercial teams and other finance departments
* Collaborate with sales, supply chain and finance to enable smooth order-to-cash processes
* Support future scalability of the OTC team, systems and processes as business grows
* Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to OTC accounts.
* Provide timely and accurate OTC documentation for financial statutory reporting.
* Define and implement KPIs to monitor OTC performance.
* Deliver monthly reports on OTC performance, including collection efficiency and DSO.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (Master's preferred)
* 10+ years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in OTC leadership roles within a shared service or multinational environment
* Strong expertise in process implementation and mapping.
* Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of sales rebates and clawback mechanisms.
* Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA ERP system (preferred)
* Highly IT-literate and digitally savvy, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and technologies to support process efficiency and automation.
* Solid understanding of cash application principles and receivables management.
* Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain a helicopter view.
* Sound knowledge of US GAAP and experience with SOX compliance.
* A proactive continuous improvement mindset with the ability to streamline processes
* Demonstrated team management skills with experience leading and developing teams
* Fluent in English; French is an advantage.
