Responsibilities
Advance our understanding of adsorption phenomena critical to the performance of our DAC process.
Analyze experimental data and extract meaningful insights to support fellow scientists in evaluating adsorption principles.
Act as a key link between sorbent development and process design engineering, improving, maturing, and de‑risking our DAC process from a holistic view.
Collect, evaluate, and synthesize experimental and modeling tools and datasets to answer core technical questions that drive process development.
Strengthen Climeworks’ intellectual property position and support competitive landscape assessments.
Qualifications
Academic background in chemical, mechanical, or process engineering, ideally with a PhD focused on adsorption.
Pragmatic execution mindset, observant and curious approach, proficient in modern data‑analysis tools and processes.
Strong communication skills, able to convey complex scientific and engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in English and willingness to travel occasionally.

About the Role
The position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and requires onsite presence at least three days per week. The percentage in the job title allows flexibility between full‑time and part‑time as needed.
