For one of our private banking clients, we are looking for an IT Operations Operator to join the IT Operations team.
The selected candidate will work in a 2x8 shift model (06:00–14:30 or 14:00–22:30) and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of IT production and monitoring activities.
The role requires strong operational rigor, the ability to work under pressure, and a high level of availability and reactivity.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and control batch processing via scheduling tools
* Supervise production activities and ensure system availability
* Manage alarms and incidents, and dispatch them to the appropriate support teams
* Ensure Level 1 IT hotline support:
o During night shifts
o One week per month on Saturdays
* Follow operational procedures and elevate issues when required
* Work closely with internal IT teams to ensure service continuity
Profile & Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Operations or a similar role
* Experience with scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M, OpCon, Tivoli or equivalent)
* Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Tivoli, Nimsoft, SCOM or equivalent)
* Basic knowledge of Unix and Windows environments
* Ability to work independently during night shifts
* Strong stress management skills
* High level of adaptability to new processes and technologies
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Languages
* Fluent French and English, both written and spoken (mandatory)
Additional Information
* Shift work (2x8) including nights and occasional Saturdays
* Candidate must live within reasonable commuting distance of Geneva (less than one hour in heavy traffic)
