How You'll Make An Impact
* You are creative: Conduct high-quality industrial research in the areas of Generative AI and Large Language Models for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields
* You are impactful: Develop innovative software solutions, turn them into prototypes and increase their technology readiness towards productization
* You take initiative: Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real-world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements
* You collaborate: Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities and vendors
* You communicate: Disseminate your results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications
Your background
* PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
* Proven expertise in a broad range of recent Generative Modelling technology including Large Language Models, with a solid understanding of algorithms, frameworks, and extensive experience in relevant software tools
* Expertise in scalable and high-performance computing
* Good knowledge of the NVIDIA AI/ML software technology stack
* Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI to real-world industrial applications and business cases related to the energy sector and driving the emerging research in this field toward productization
* Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken
