Your days will vary, involving service desk tasks, training courses, internal projects, and assignments with our customers. You can expect to engage in designing high availability architectures, installing and configuring SQL Server instances, supporting and maintaining infrastructure, automating tasks, troubleshooting performance issues, and more.
What to expect
As an MS SQL Server consultant, you will support our customers on-site or remotely across various project phases, including:
* MS database environment and infrastructure support
* Installation and configuration of instances
* Database maintenance
* Performance tuning
* PowerShell and T-SQL development
* Planning tasks and capacity management
* Implementing high availability solutions such as mirroring, log-shipping, AlwaysOn, and Clustering
What you bring with you
If you hold a HES (Swiss specialized college degree), EPF (Swiss federal polytechnic degree), or an equivalent diploma, here’s why you would be a great fit:
* Specialized in MS SQL Server database environments
* Confirmed experience with SQL Always On and PowerShell
* Fluent in French and comfortable speaking English

Do you have any questions?
As an MS SQL Server consultant, most of your time will be dedicated to consulting tasks, with service desk work once a week. You will receive approximately 20 days of training and internal projects annually, with opportunities to train clients and attend conferences. You will report to the “Microsoft” team’s Delivery Manager, with support from the Technology Leader and colleagues. Essential skills include:
* Willingness to attend training and achieve certifications
* At least 3 years of confirmed experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing MS SQL Server infrastructure
* Proficiency with Always On and PowerShell tools
* Fluent in German and/or French (C1 level or higher)
* Good oral and written communication skills in English (B1 level or higher)
