Join us and shape the next generation of global engineering talent.
Are you passionate about developing people, building strong early‑career pipelines, and influencing the future of engineering across a global organization? We are looking for an inspiring Engineering Early Career Development Manager to lead our early‑talent initiatives within Global Products and Solutions.
In this impactful role, you will guide rotational engineering associates and interns across multiple disciplines — mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and more. As the architect of our engineering talent pipeline, you will design and deliver high‑quality development experiences that accelerate growth, strengthen capabilities, and prepare our engineers for long‑term success.
What You Will Do
* Lead and administer the GPS Engineering Rotational Program, including recruitment, interviews, goal setting, 1:1 development sessions, performance reviews, IDPs, and placement into next‑step roles.
* Build strong partnerships with target universities, engineering departments, and student organizations, ensuring a diverse and high‑quality early‑career pipeline.
* Prepare and coach assignment managers; implement methods to evaluate training effectiveness and overall participant experience.
* Collaborate with business and talent teams to identify impactful projects that accelerate participant development and generate meaningful value.
* Deliver engaging learning sessions (virtual, classroom, synchronous, asynchronous) and adapt facilitation methods to meet audience needs.
* Create and manage a formal mentorship and sponsorship program, including mentor/sponsor training and onboarding.
* Meet regularly with assignment managers to track participant progress, competencies, and overall experience.
* Develop a tailored L&D curriculum aligned with engineering capabilities and career paths.
* Oversee intern conversion into full‑time roles; run roundtables for interns to build community and engagement.
* Provide insights for Organizational Talent Reviews and support ongoing career development of alumni and program graduates.
* Track KPIs such as conversion, performance, retention, and leadership progression — and present improvement recommendations to leadership.
What You Will Need
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, systems, or related).
* 5+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 2+ years in leadership or program management.
* Proven collaborative leadership and experience running talent or development programs.
* A strong passion for people development and early‑career talent.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred
* Global experience collaborating across cultures and cross‑functional teams.
* Strong internal network and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
* Background as an engineering individual contributor.
We Offer
* A unique opportunity to shape the engineering talent pipeline of a global organization
* High visibility and direct collaboration with senior leadership
* A dynamic, innovative environment focused on continuous learning and growth
* The ability to influence strategy, build impactful programs, and leave a long‑term legacy
* International exposure and cross‑functional collaboration
* Flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful career progression opportunities
