POSTION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sr Director, International Distributors Management, the incumbent will manage interaction with distributors in Latin America and Middle East in all aspects from Early Access opportunities, commercialization readiness and business performance delivering on established KPIs. This position will be crucial to the International expansion and will be key in driving the commercialization of the company's international product portfolio. The individual will work closely with cross-functional team across the organization and with distributors in the region.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Evaluate and plan new expansion opportunities across existing and future geographical footprint with international product portfolio
* Ensure alignment of International Commercial Strategy & promotional activity with partners
* Provide guidance in investment, resource allocation trade-offs to optimize portfolio and ensure alignment with global strategy and future portfolio development
* Ensure execution of all operational business activities in order to maximize patient access and commercial impact. Manage in-depth business reviews, constant functional support and ad-hoc direct partners interactions on a regular basis as needed.
* Drive sharing-best-practice initiatives to maximize current business developed by the partners across International Markets including: commercial KPI's benchmarking, business plan, sales plans and forecasting models, marketing tactics.
* 30-40% expected international travel requirement (mostly Latin America & Middle East and Africa)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
* Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech commercial operations, in multiple healthcare systems, especially in Latin America and Middle East & Africa
* 10+ years total experience in life sciences (including consulting), biotech or pharma industry, in commercial / business development functions.
* Proven successful experience in commercial role at international / regional and/or local country level.
* Experience in managing relationships with external partners / stakeholders in international environment.
* Hands-on involvement in the development of commercial strategy
* Good understanding of commercial, market access, IP, regulatory process.
* Direct work experience in considered territories (Latin America and Middle East & Africa) with ability to communicate in local languages being a distinct advantage
* Prior "biotech start-up" experience is a distinct advantage
* Rare or ultra-rare, disease experience preferred.
* Undergraduate degree required, Top tier MBA and/or relevant post graduate qualifications preferred. Scientific educational background a plus
