Data/ Platform Engineer - IBM MQ vacancy for a globally operating Switzerland based company in the banking sector.
Your tasks: Design, implement, and maintain Data Lake architectures for banking systems.
Develop data pipelines and ETL processes for seamless data integration and management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the process.
Optimize data storage, retrieval, and batch automation processes for performance and efficiency.
Implement IBM MQ as a new technology for messaging and integration.
Your experience/knowledge: Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on platform integration.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with a good understanding of data engineering concepts.
Experience with Data Lake technologies and frameworks.
Familiarity with Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
Experience with batch automation processes for large-scale data workflows.
Previous exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
IBM MQ experience or knowledge of its integration as a messaging solution.
Strong understanding of data modeling and database design.
Language skills: English.
