Position

Associate Director of Student Recruitment

Reports to: Director of Partnerships & Interim Director of Admissions

Team: Global Student Recruitment team (USA, Europe, MENA, APAC, LATAM, Africa)

Territory ownership: Global, however personally involved where needed with Europe as initial priority focus (especially Switzerland).

Location: Lugano with travel ~50%


Role purpose

Own the global student recruitment engine and lead a distributed team to deliver high‑quality, intentional relationship building with schools and counselors, generate qualified leads, and convert inquiries into enrolled students. The role also directly manages the European pipeline, especially Switzerland, Franklin’s home base. Also responsible for quality control of engagement with leads, which for instance includes a 24‑hour engagement SLA and a rigorous, data‑driven sales culture.


Key responsibilities

Leadership & management

* Lead, coach, and performance‑manage the global Recruitment Officers (USA, Europe, MENA, APAC, LATAM, Africa).
* Set quarterly targets by territory and segment (UG/PG, Study Abroad, Transfer, Gap Year, Foundation).
* Run weekly pipeline meetings; forecast and de‑risk against goals; partner closely with Marketing/PR, Data/CRM, and of course, the rest of the enrollment department which includes partnerships, admissions, and financial aid.

Territory ownership – Europe/Switzerland

* Build and execute a global territory plan: prioritized school lists (based on strategic information such as affordability factor and academic reputation), counselor engagement, visit cadence, and creative on‑/off‑ campus events for leads, counselors, and relationship building purposes with schools and partners.
* Represent Franklin with key counselors, heads, and associations; secure MOUs/feeder agreements.

School & counselor relations

* Establish an intentional relationship program: tier schools, set contact strategies by tier (based on conversion rates, academic performance, retention and overall market research), run counselor briefings/trainings, immersion days, faculty lecture roadshows and taster classes.
* Maintain a high‑touch parent & student engagement track (webinars, 1:1 advisories, WhatsApp/phone clinics).

Sales excellence & conversion

* Enforce a 24‑hour first‑response SLAfor all inquiries (business days) with weekend coverage via a rota.
* Standardize outreach playbooks (call/email/WhatsApp sequencing, objection handling) and QA call listening.
* Ensure touch points are diversified and parents/student satisfaction and nurturing throughout the lead journey.
* Partner with Admissions on offer communication, scholarship positioning, and conversion events from admit → deposit → enrolled.

Data, reporting & quality

* Ensure CRM hygiene (complete, timely, accurate data), lead scoring, and segmentation; produce weekly dashboards by territory and stage.
* Monitor cost‑per‑lead and ROI of fairs, travel, and digital campaigns; reallocate budget to highest yield.
* Uphold safeguarding, privacy/GDPR, and ethical recruitment standards.
* Track and measure impact per recruitment representative and report monthly impact, conversion, and projected revenue per student, per territory.
* Report emerging market opportunities in such international markets, from school engagement.

Required profile

* 6–10+ years in student recruitment/enrollment, admissions, or consultative sales; higher‑ed experience strongly preferred.
* Proven success leading distributed, KPI‑driven teams and closing complex, relationship‑based pipelines.
* Strong sales acumen and client‑service mindset; excellent stakeholder management with parents, students, and counselors.
* Data‑literate; fluent with CRM (e.g., Slate/Salesforce/HubSpot) and funnel reporting.
* Fluent English; additional European language(s) a plus; knowledge of Swiss education landscape desirable.
