Duties and Responsibilities
* Entering employment data into the company database
* Answering any employee inquiries
* Issue contracts of employments and any other letters of employment
* Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations
* Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
* Gather and examine timesheets to ensure they are complete and accurate
* Update payroll records by entering changes to employee pay rates, exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
* Calculate and issue employee payments and deductions
* Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns
* Coordinate with HR department to ensure correct employee data
* Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails for the HR department
* Any other tasks as required by the Director of HR
Qualifications
To execute the position of Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator, I must have the required qualifications and technical skills.
Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have excellent knowledge of guest related functions and guest service.
Fluent in English and French.
