Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist – Carve-outs & Divestments
Overview:
An international life sciences organization seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist experienced in business carve-outs and divestments. This role supports procurement strategy and execution across indirect categories (Technology, Logistics, Professional Services & MRO) during and after corporate carve-out initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead procurement workstreams related to carve-outs and divestments, including due diligence, planning, and execution.
2. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service continuity during transitions.
3. Drive strategic sourcing and supplier selection aligned with company objectives.
4. Manage contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
5. Identify and implement cost savings across indirect procurement categories.
6. Mitigate procurement risks during separation activities.
7. Collaborate with IT, Quality, Automation, Legal, and Finance teams to align procurement with business goals.
8. Develop reporting and analytics to track procurement performance and generate insights.
9. Contribute to evolving procurement policies, tools, and best practices.
Required Experience & Skills:
* 7–10 years of indirect procurement experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
* At least 3–5 years working on carve-outs, M&A, or divestment projects.
* Strong knowledge of procurement operations, sourcing, and vendor management.
* Proven ability to drive cost savings and manage procurement risks.
* Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field; Master’s or certifications like CIPS/CPSM are a plus.
* Strategic, detail-oriented, organized, with a proactive mindset.
