Your Work
To strengthen our Software Development Team, we are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer 100% (m/f/d) with a strong background in modern web technologies and a passion for driving innovation, performance, and user experience in cloud-based solutions and web simulation products. In this role, you will take ownership of the front-end development process, leading end-to-end implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. You will contribute to the design of scalable, data-driven applications and leverage cutting-edge technologies - including AI-assisted development tools - to enhance product capabilities, development efficiency, and customer value.
You will be part of the UI Team whose primary goal is to build and maintain high-quality, user-friendly web applications. Together with the team, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our front-end solutions, working closely with other teams to ensure efficient delivery and a seamless user experience. Together with the team, you will:
Serve as the technical lead for web front-end development, ensuring seamless integration, high performance, and quality maintenance of existing features.
Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions to access and utilize Virta Med data (simulation, custom, and customer-specific).
Design and implement advanced web services and backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers to support scalable, secure, and high-value customer-facing applications.
Manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release cycles to maintain high development efficiency.
Drive technical coordination for new and existing web simulation products, collaborating with Product Owners (POs) and managing external development contributors.
Research and introduce innovative technologies, tools, and approaches (including AI-assisted development tools and agent-based workflows) to enhance development productivity and product quality.
Foster a culture of UX and user-centric design in the team. Your Profile
University degree (M. Sc.) or similar.
2-5 years of work experience.
Professional experience in Frontend Development: Expertise in Angular, Node.js, Type Script, HTML5, CSS, Tailwind CSS, Fastify, Playwright and related libraries.
Good technical skills in Web Services & Architecture: Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and developing scalable web services (e.g., Node.js).
Experience with AI-assisted Development Tools: Practical experience or strong interest in leveraging tools such as Git Hub Copilot, MCP, and agent-based development workflows to enhance productivity.
Strong Dev Ops skills: Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops, including YAML-based pipeline configuration and deployment management.
Familiarity with UX Design: Skilled in requirements engineering, creating mockups and prototypes using Figma and other tools.
Strong skills with Development Tools: Familiarity with Visual Studio Code, Git, and Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
