At Nexthink, we process millions of events per second to ensure our customers have the best experience at work. We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to enhance our data access and storage pipelines as we grow and face bigger challenges.

Familiarity with advanced system properties and concepts such as the CAP theorem, data models, data catalogs, parser generators, domain-specific languages, and model-to-model transformations is desirable. Responsibilities
1. Design, implement, deliver, and maintain systems capable of handling large volumes, variety, and velocity of data.
2. Create and test data pipelines, data models, and data architectures.
3. Lead contributions to the overall product architecture and design, including storage strategies.
4. Drive innovation within the team and the Product Group, proposing and implementing improvements.
5. Participate actively in building the technology roadmap.
6. Help improve the team's development best practices.
7. Handle L3 support requests alongside the team.
8. Support and mentor other team members.
9. Work within an agile, iterative, and incremental environment, actively participating in ceremonies.
Qualifications
* BSc in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; MSc preferred.
* Strong Java development experience; experience with other languages is a plus.
* Experience with Docker, Kafka, ClickHouse, Micronaut, AWS, and Data Dog is highly valuable.
* Familiarity with Git, Gradle, Jenkins, and Sonar.
* Outstanding object-oriented and functional programming skills, along with data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing knowledge.
* Strong refactoring and test automation skills.
* Experience with various query languages.
* Passion for continuous improvement, lean thinking, and high-quality work.
* Motivation for tackling complex challenges and learning new technologies.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with professional-level English proficiency, both spoken and written.
Bonus
* Experience with data-intensive applications.
* Knowledge of business intelligence systems or data warehousing.
* Expertise with internal or external DSLs, meta-programming, and model-to-model transformations.
* Experience with or training in compiler implementation.
* Experience speaking at technical conferences or meetups is a plus.
