Your Responsibilities
* Contribute to the smooth running of daily technical operations across the fleet.
* Ensure all ships are well maintained, safe, and sustainable in line with company standards and budget.
* Ensure repairs are carried out quickly and with minimal impact on cruise operations.
* Manage technical stores and inventories.
* Drive continuous improvement in sustainability and technical maintenance in close collaboration with the Director Technical Maintenance and Repairs.
* Work closely with hotel, nautical, finance, and administrative departments to ensure seamless operations.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable technical standards and regulations.
* Communicate technical failures that impact operations, guest experience, or safety quickly and effectively to relevant executive leaders.
* Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to internal and external partners.
* Promote company values and goals by effectively communicating mission, vision, and expectations.
* Travel regularly to vessels as required.
Specific Requirements
* Higher technical and management education, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
* Experience in small to mid-sized companies within inland waterways, cruise, or cargo environments in an international context.
* Strong understanding of current trends and technical advances in key ship components.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership capabilities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage conflict effectively, and navigate challenging employee-relations matters with confidence.
* Strong command of English and German; Dutch and French are an advantage.
