About the job
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation and negotiation of a diverse range of commercial agreements in support of Tether's various business lines. Your role will support business lines spanning stablecoins, artificial intelligence, peer-to-peer communications applications, education, power and human evolution by helping implement clear, legally sound commercial agreements. Agreements will vary by business line but will generally include master services agreements, software as a services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, sponsorship agreements, collaboration agreements, and memorandums of understanding.
Your role will also involve overseeing direct reports who work on negotiating commercial agreements and acting as an escalation point both for those direct reports and for the various business line clients.
Responsibilities
Managing and overseeing direct reports working on negotiating commercial agreements;
Acting as an escalation point for direct reports and business line clients;
Managing and overseeing the legal engagement processes;
Finding and implementing process efficiencies;
Identifying and mitigate or elevate legal risks; and
Acting as a liaison between various stakeholder groups and the business line in connection with shaping and preparing commercial agreements.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in law
5 years of experience in a contract negotiation or manager position
A strong command of English
Proficiency with workflow management tools like Monday.com and Jotform.
A strong attention to detail
Bonus points if:
Qualified to practice law
2 years of people management
Experience with crypto assets
