Your tasks
The main purpose of the Product Owner Smart Factory is to translate the smart factory strategy into digital solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and agility across manufacturing. Acting as the voice of business and operations within agile teams, the Product Owner defines, reviews and prioritizes requirements, ensures alignment with corporate and supply chain goals, and drives the delivery of scalable Industry solutions that create measurable value for customers and plants.
1. Support in developing a clear product vision for smart factory solutions (;automation, IoT, digital twins)
2. Alignment with company goals and stakeholders from production, IT and operations management
3. Creation, prioritization and maintenance of the product backlog
4. Prioritization of requirements according to business value, feasibility and urgency
5. Formulation of business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
6. Obtaining feedback, moderating requirements and communicating progress
7. Gathering and evaluating requirements from various departments
8. Acting as an interface between technical teams and the business side
9. Active participation in all ceremonies (sprint planning, sprint review, daily standups)
Your profile
10. Higher education (Bachelor, Master, University) in industrial engineering, production engineering or a related field
11. At least five years of experience in manufacturing, digital transformation or IT/OT projects
12. In-depth knowledge of Industry Factory concepts (IoT, MES, SCADA, PLC integration, cloud platforms, AI/analytics)
13. Hands-on experience with AI technologies, copilots and intelligent agents as well as their application in manufacturing, automation or supply chain optimization.
14. Experience with digital manufacturing solutions (;Infor MES, Advaris, SAP Digital Manufacturing)
15. Experience with IT/OT convergence and cybersecurity principles in production
16. Agile certifications (;SAFe, PO/PM) are an advantage
17. Very good communication skills in German and English
18. Strategic thinking, consulting skills, analytical skills
19. High level of commitment, ability to work under pressure and used to work independently
