Senior Market Risk Analyst / Market Risk Manager LNG Markets Team Lead (3) Zug or Zurich area Responsibilities Work closely with the Head of Desks and Trading teams on a daily basis to review position management and contribute to hedging strategies that optimize the risk/reward profile. Design and implement risk management frameworks that reduce exposure while supporting business growth. Monitor trading activity, oversee positions, track PnL performance, and evaluate risk metrics. Develop practical and innovative solutions to complex market risk challenges. Drive risk modeling and analytical initiatives to enhance market positioning. Partner with senior stakeholders to develop and refine internal risk policies and procedures. Perform detailed risk analysis, including VaR back-testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing. Oversee model validation activities and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements. Support both day-to-day decision-making and longer-term strategic planning through collaboration with senior leadership. Qualifications 5 years of experience in market risk management, with a strong interest in energy markets. Deep understanding of European LNG markets (or European power and/or gas markets). Previous experience within an Energy Trading firm, a European Gas & Power utility, or a Commodities Hedge Fund. Strong knowledge of asset-backed trading, power plants, PPAs, and regasification terminals. Experience with advanced options trading is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk information clearly; English is required.
