Your responsibilities
:
Press office and communications operations
1. Support the day-to-day running of the global press office, including owning key administrative systems, databases, and internal processes
2. Act as a first point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring timely, professional and well-coordinated responses
3. Coordinate the distribution of press materials and support the maintenance of press resources, including digital press kits and online media platforms
4. Monitor and compile media coverage, supporting the production and circulation of press reports and insights
5. Lead the coordination of press accreditation processes across Art Basel shows and events
6. Act as a first point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring timely, professional and well-coordinated responses
Campaign and content support
7. Support the delivery of communications campaigns across Art Basel’s shows and global initiatives
8. Draft and edit a range of communications materials, including press releases, media updates, website content and internal communications
9. Assist in preparing briefing materials and supporting content for media and stakeholder engagement
10. Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of Art Basel’s digital platforms, including website updates
Events and media engagement
11. Support the planning and delivery of press events, including press conferences, media briefings and press trips
12. Assist with on-site media operations at Art Basel shows as required
13. Coordinate logistics, materials and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth delivery of media-facing moments
Team coordination and collaboration
14. Support internal coordination across teams and regions, including scheduling, meeting preparation and information flow
15. Work closely with colleagues across communications, editorial, social media and marketing to ensure alignment
16. Contribute to maintaining efficient systems and processes that underpin the global communications function
17. Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and media contacts
Your Profile:
18. Some experience in communications, PR, a gallery team, or a fast-paced office environment
19. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
20. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
21. Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
22. Confident working across digital tools and platforms (e.g. Microsoft Office, CRM systems)
23. Proactive, collaborative and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take initiative
24. Strong interest in contemporary art, culture, and the international media landscape
