We are seeking a PhD Student in fundamental muon physics for the Muon Electric Dipole Moment Experiment (MuEDM) at PSI.

Your tasks
* Take first data on storage, spin precession, and frozen‑spin state of muons.
* Participate in data analysis and work on dedicated aspects related to the magnetic field of the storage trap.
* Further characterize the magnetic field of the storage trap using dedicated sensors and particle detectors.
* Contribute to a better understanding of systematic effects and help to improve experimental sensitivity.
Your profile
* Master’s degree in physics with strong interest in low‑energy particle physics.
* Knowledge of computational numerical methods (Monte Carlo simulations, Python for data analysis, finite element methods, etc.).
* Practical experience in experimental techniques appreciated (electronics, detectors, DAQ).
* Ability to work independently.
* Proficient in English (working language).
* Knowledge of German or willingness to learn German quickly is a plus.
