Development Expert Combustion
Responsibilities:
1. Develop new thermodynamic and combustion concepts for WinGD 2-stroke engines by applying fundamental understanding of engine mixture formation, ignition and combustion
2. Use simulation tools to support technology application and engine tests
3. Design and integrate combustion system components into engines
4. Define engine thermodynamic layout and engine tuning parameters by performing hands-on testing on engines in laboratories and at licensee site world-wide
5. Define and maintain engine performance data based on simulations and testing results
6. Support customers and licensees with inquiries
Requirements:
7. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with Chemical/Combustion/Thermodynamic background
8. Know-how related to (2-stroke) engine thermodynamics, combustion and turbocharging
9. Experience with engine combustion system development
10. Knowledge of one-dimensional simulation tools
11. Experience in testing of internal combustion engines
12. Handling a wide range of tasks in parallel
13. Ability to communicate effectively with both internal & external customers
14. Open for traveling (mainly Asia)
15. >5 years of relevant experience desirable
16. Good command of English language (written & oral), German appreciated
