Your Role & Responsibilities:
Maintain, administer, and improve Linux and Unix-based physical and virtual infrastructure across 20+ global locations
Monitor systems proactively, analyze logs, and manage incidents, ensuring optimal uptime, security, and performance
Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain critical cloud and on-prem environments, including microservices-based virtualization platform, virtualization stacks, and monitoring solutions
Contribute to the automation of system deployments, configuration management, and service orchestration using tools such as Puppet and Foreman
Participate in infrastructure improvement projects, including secure architecture and network segmentation
Perform root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to prevent future issues
Support junior system administrators in resolving technical escalations, whether originating internally or from partners and customers by providing clear guidance and hands-on assistance in complex cases
Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team using clean, structured documentation
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration in production environments
Solid experience with virtualization technologies (KVM preferred, VMware or similar also a plus)
Strong experience with monitoring tools and log management solutions (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)
Excellent understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, routing)
Deep understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management with Puppet (Ansible and Foreman experience is a strong plus)
Hands-on experience with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
Familiarity with incident and change management processes
Experience with application and DB deployments in a production environment
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate routine tasks
Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
Bonus Skills (a strong advantage):
Experience with the design, deployment, licensing, and support of VMware products, including Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, ESXi, and vCenter Server
Version control systems knowledge (GIT, Mercurial)
Experience with JIRA Service Management, Confluence
Experience with SQL DB queries and PostgreSQL commands
Security hardening knowledge (SELinux, AppArmor, SMACK, etc.)
