Your Role & Responsibilities:
* Maintain, administer, and improve Linux and Unix‑based physical and virtual infrastructure across 20+ global locations
* Monitor systems proactively, analyze logs, and manage incidents, ensuring optimal uptime, security, and performance
* Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain critical cloud and on‑prem environments, including microservices‑based virtualization platform, virtualization stacks, and monitoring solutions
* Contribute to the automation of system deployments, configuration management, and service orchestration using tools such as Puppet and Foreman
* Participate in infrastructure improvement projects, including secure architecture and network segmentation
* Perform root cause analysis and post‑incident reviews to prevent future issues
* Support junior system administrators in resolving technical escalations, whether originating internally or from partners and customers by providing clear guidance and hands‑on assistance in complex cases
* Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge‑sharing within the team using clean, structured documentation
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration in production environments
* Solid experience with virtualization technologies (KVM preferred, VMware or similar also a plus)
* Strong experience with monitoring tools and log management solutions (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)
* Excellent understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, routing)
* Deep understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management with Puppet (Ansible and Foreman experience is a strong plus)
* Hands‑on experience with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
* Familiarity with incident and change management processes
* Experience with application and DB deployments in a production environment
* Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate routine tasks
* Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
Bonus Skills (a strong advantage):
* Experience with the design, deployment, licensing, and support of VMware products, including Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, ESXi, and vCenter Server
* Version control systems knowledge (GIT, Mercurial)
* Experience with JIRA Service Management, Confluence
* Experience with SQL DB queries and PostgreSQL commands
* Security hardening knowledge (SELinux, AppArmor, SMACK, etc.)
