Role Overview
The Operations and Process Governance Lead is a key position that oversees the design and implementation of governance structures, procedures, and protocols for the Legal department. This individual will ensure efficient, transparent, and compliant operations within the department.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, corporate governance, and legal operating procedures. The ideal candidate will have acumen in coordinating legal operations and enhancing process efficiency.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize legal services delivery and ensure operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legal obligations, minimizing potential risks to the organization.
* Collaborate with global stakeholders to align business needs and develop a long-term vision for legal policies and standard operating procedures.
* Review and update guidelines to reflect evolving business needs and ensure their relevance.
* Identify operational risks within the legal department and develop strategies to mitigate or respond to these risks.
* Research and implement best practices in legal operations to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree (MBA or equivalent preferred)
* PMP or similar certification (preferred)
* Project Management experience (desired)
* Six Sigma or Agile development experience (a plus)
* Minimum 7 years of experience managing legal policies and developing governance structures
* Detailed understanding of company policies and procedures
* Experience with change management and process improvements with high user satisfaction
