Job Description
Your daily tasks & responsibilities
1. Act as Mechanical Design Engineer designing system modifications with focus on Environmental Control System (ECS), Supplemental Heating, Equipment Cooling, Cabin Humidification, Soundproofing, Oxygen, Smoke-Detection and Water/ Waste including associated modifications on aircraft internal and external primary and secondary structure and interior furnishing
2. Support the Team Leader Mechanical Design Engineering in administrative and organisational tasks
3. Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designed
4. Ensure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially with the Engineering Team as well as with external Third Parties
Main Activities
5. Development of Mechanical Drawings (2D/3D-CAD)
6. Selection of equipment, components and materials
7. Preparation of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures and installation instructions
8. Preparation of engineering design standards
The expertise you have & skills you bring
9. Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or relevant field
10. Profound knowledge of fundamental physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, aerospace technology and materials – basic knowledge of acoustics is advantageous
11. Proactive Teamplayer with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – additionally French and/or German is advantageous
12. Proficient in MS Office and popular 2D/3D design software (AutoCad, CATIA)
13. Ability to manage time effectively
14. Ability to work independently
15. Accurate and strong attention to detail and safety
